Kym is Karissa’s only sister and the obvious choice to be her Maid of Honor! Kym and John have built a cute, brother/sister relationship which makes Karissa so happy.

Courtney and Karissa met at USC and became instant friends. Their friendship has been a fundamental part of Karissa’s life through her late teens, 20’s and 30’s, and the way Courtney and John have both embraced each other further proves we were all meant to be family 😊

John refers to Karissa’s best friends as “the crew” and Brittany is a crucial member! Brittany was one of Karissa’s first friends to meet John, and her love and support of their relationship has been so appreciated.

Karissa met Ty through Courtney when they were in their early 20’s. Over the years they’ve had so much fun together, going on numerous trips and laughing over countless brunches. Their friendship has continued to grow and both Karissa absolutely John are thrilled Ty is part of the bridal party.

Jacqui is Karissa’s oldest friend! They met in middle school and have remained best friends. They have experienced so many versions of each other and have always managed to remain close. Jacqui holds such a special place in Karissa’s heart.

Xiomara and Karissa first met in Australia in 2007 while they were both studying abroad. They bonded over being one of the few brown girls in Sydney after being confused as sisters and sometimes the same person! Their friendship has lasted for decades and across coasts, and they are both celebrating getting married this year!

Karissa and Brenda have been friends for over a decade. They’ve always had a special bond and connect over their love for exercise, LA, Beyonce and having a good time 😂 The bridal party wouldn’t be complete without Brendeezy!

John and Billy go all the way back to middle school. They started out as sports rivals but ended up at the same high school and living in the same neighborhood. They’d carpool, hang out after school, and share their love for music and sports. They even made money together on campus selling candy and burned CDs. Billy’s been a rock in John’s life ever since, always there when he needs him.

Brittny and John met on the first day of high school and ended up in pretty much all the same classes for four years straight. They clicked like brother and sister right off the bat, and that bond has stuck for over 20 years now. Brittny’s got amazing intuition, so when she saw Karissa’s Instagram and said “I love her, John”, he knew what he was thinking was right. Once Brittny and Karissa met, it was the icing on the cake and the two of them have developed a familial relationship as well.

John met Damion when they were both fixing iPhones and MacBooks at the Apple Store in Vegas. They hit it off sharing a love for technology, pop culture and helping people. Dame has been a reliable and trustworthy friend over the years. Even though they’re in different cities now, they still keep in touch regularly.

Mike and John have known each other since high school. They both bleed purple and gold for the Lakers, bond over music, and love a good debate. Mike’s the kind of friend John’s proud to have by his side through all the ups and downs of adulting.

John and DJ are cousins and spent their early years growing up together pretty much like brothers. Even though life took DJ to the east coast before high school, they’re determined to keep that childhood bond alive and be the family leaders for the next generation.
