We met on Hinge in May 2021. John came across my profile and obviously liked what he saw, but what he liked most was that I talked about wanting to feel safe in a relationship because he wanted that too. Our first phone call lasted 8 hours, and when we got off the phone I thought "What if this is my husband?"

The weekend of our 2 year Anniversary, July 7, 2023, John planned a weekend getaway in Palm Springs and suggested we spend Friday doing all of our favorite things in LA. We ate breakfast at the Coffee Company, relaxed at the beach, and went shopping in Santa Monica. Friday night as we were leaving our apartment for a dinner reservation, John told me he left the car key inside. While I waited in the hallway for him to come back, I got a text from John telling me to come back inside. When I came in the apartment, our song was playing and John was standing in the kitchen with a ring box in his hand! After he proposed and I of course said yes, we went to our dinner reservation where I was surprised by my best friends. It was the best day ever, and you can watch the video here!
